Spüngli, Grand Cru Arriba Santa (72%)

Santa knows who's been naughty and who's been nice. What better treat than a Sprüngli dark chocolate miniature for those of us who have have good all year long?

Grand Cru Santa has a sweet and creamy taste, despite containing 72% cocoa solids. Spüngli's sugarplum fairies have done wonders on this blend, which after 72 hours of refinement, comes out without a trace of the bitterness which often accompanies high cocoa chocolates. Grand Cru Santa takes a moment to reveal his delicious flavors, and ultimately does not disappoint with savory waves of vanilla-laden fruits and spices. The only challenge to eating this chocolate is having to break into Santa's exquisitely carved face.
Cocao Beans:
From the Confiserie Sprüngli, Bahnhofstrasse, Zürich. Most definitely a seasonal product, although the Grand Cru Arriba should be available in other non-Santa forms. Unfortunately, for those not located near a Sprüngli shop, Grand Cru Santa is most probably not available outside of Switzerland.
